And, what about you? Do you always know what you are doing when it comes to protection against HIV and Aids? And to other sexually transmitted diseases?
It doesn’t matter what your answer is: you’re in the right place with us.
Because we can talk to you about protecting yourself and others during sex, inform you about the transmission of diseases, as well as giving tips on how you can remain confident in dicey situations.
So you can say: “I know what I do!”
The number of people diagnosed with HIV has been rising in recent years. More men are living with the HIV virus. Medicines help to lengthen lives with HIV/Aids and reduce the consequential damage. Even if a cure is still a long-way off, HIV/Aids are seen in a new light.
Instead of being seen as a disease ending in a quick death, HIV and Aids are seen nowadays as serious chronic diseases. This brings other perceptions and new challenges with it. Along with this, views have changed when dealing with safer sex.
Our campaign is a reaction to the increasing number of new HIV infections. We want to tackle the problems of HIV/Aids and the sexually transmitted diseases together with you:
Why is it important that I protect myself?
How do I protect myself properly?
What does it mean to be HIV-positive nowadays?
What does safer sex mean nowadays if HIV and Aids have been reduced to a serious chronic illness?
Tell us your opinions, discuss with us and give us your ideas.
Let’s do something together for the protection against HIV and other sexually transmitted diseases as well as against the fear and exclusion. So that everyone can say: “ICH WEISS, WAS ICH TU!” (“I know what I do!”)
