Grips Theatre Berlin: Acclaimed premiere of "Nasser#7Leben"
Nasser's sensational fate made headlines across Germany. His Lebanese-born family first wanted to force the then 16-year-old Berliner into marriage and then even kill him. The Grips Theater Berlin has now turned it into a youth theatre play about homophobia, prejudice and the successful fight for a self-determined gay life.
An all-round positive relationship
A house in the country with a chicken coop, a romantic wedding in the village church - Thilo and René's life sounds so idyllic. But that is also part of their lives: Both have been HIV-positive for over 20 years and are struggling with the long-term consequences. As a couple, they can also cope with this.

"The virus has shaped my biography," says René. The 48-year-old has been living with HIV since 1993 - and has been a pensioner and working odd jobs for almost 18 years. Nevertheless, René looks at younger HIV-positive people without envy. He thinks it's great that they can lead a normal working life thanks to better medication. We have written down what René told us.

Marcus Behrens has been a contact person at Mann-o-Meter, Berlin's gay information and advice centre, for 20 years. The qualified psychologist helps with coming out or addiction problems. Discrimination is also a frequent issue that the head of the centre is confronted with.
