'Poz&Proud' celebrates its anniversary: living with HIV confidently and visibly
In 2006, a group of homosexual men with HIV decided that it was time for a separate department within the Hiv Vereniging Nederland (HVN - HIV Association Netherlands). They feared that specific questions and concerns of gay men living with HIV would otherwise fall by the wayside. The self-help group Poz&Proud was founded to counteract the stigmatisation of HIV-positive gay men - and not just in the community.
