Pleasure drops is a clear fluid that comes out of the urethra of men (or people with a penis) shortly before or during sexual arousal.
- It is used in the Cowper's glands (also: bulbourethral glands) are formed.
- The pleasure drop serves to moisturise and "flush" the urethra so that the sperm can later slide through more easily.
- It usually contains No or very few sperm. Nevertheless, it can make pregnancy possible if sperm from a previous ejaculation are still present in the urethra.
- Also sexually transmitted infections (STIs) such as HIV, chlamydia or gonorrhoea can be passed on via the lubricant if it contains the pathogen.
