CSD Berlin Pride

PRIDE IS OUR PROTEST!

PRIDE IS OUR PROTEST!

The IWWIT truck at the CSD demo Berlin 26 July 2025

What is the CSD?

Christopher Street Day is our day for visibility, diversity and equality. Together with queer people from all over Germany, we take to the streets - for love, against hate.

Black is our statement.
Staying visible where others want to hide us.

Queer spaces and projects are increasingly endangered, marginalised and made invisible - not only in the U.S. Funding is disappearing, diversity is being cut, our stories are being hidden. black stands for mourning, protest and visibility - for everything that must not be overlooked.

There is no binding dress code - wear what suits you and what you feel comfortable in. Nevertheless, we would like to make a joint statement with our motto:
"We wear black at CSD - together, visibly and in solidarity.
Join in: Whether simple or expressive - black unites us.
Show attitude. Show yourself. Wear black."

This guiding principle invites you to get involved in your own way and at the same time be part of a strong community.

Our awareness rules

Celebrate safely together at the IWWIT Truck Pride

Our awareness team is there for you all day and is always available. You can recognise us by the "Awareness" stickers on our shirts.

The following awareness rules are intended to create a safe, pleasant, aware place for everyone to celebrate and demonstrate together.

Physical contact, flirting, photos or videos only happen with consent. We all respect every no - without discussion. Only yes means yes <3

People of all identities are welcome on our truck - gay, bi, lesbian, transinter, non-binary, HIV-positive, fat, thin, loud, quiet, kinky or vanilla. No room for discrimination, racism, sexism, queerphobia, ableism, classism or body shaming.

Whether dancing, talking or celebrating, we show consideration for our fellow human beings, their boundaries and their needs. Nobody is pushed, overburdened or excluded.

What happens on the truck stays on the truck - unless expressly agreed otherwise. We only take photos or make posts with the consent of the people who appear in them.

If you notice something that is not okay, speak up calmly and clearly or contact the awareness team. We stand up for each other.

We are loud, visible and proud - in favour of sexual and gender self-determination, solidarity and queer health. On the truck and everywhere.

Our demands

At CSD Berlin, we take our political demands to the streets - loudly, visibly and together as a community. Our posters show what we stand for: For the rights, protection and visibility of queer people - in all areas of life.

Here you will find the demands that we are making particularly visible this year:

We demand low-barrier access to HIV prevention, STI tests, PrEP, gender-affirming care and mental health care - without discrimination, without fear, without bureaucracy. Health is a human right, also for trans, non-binary and migrant people, as well as for people without papers!

Queer clubs, bars, saunas, advice centres and meeting places are living spaces. We demand their long-term preservation, protection from gentrification and political recognition as spaces for queer culture and health that are worthy of protection.

We demand mandatory queer-feminist, racism-critical and anti-discriminatory educational programmes in training and at work - for teachers, doctors, police and administration.

We demand the destigmatisation and complete decriminalisation of sex work. All people - including sex workers - have the right to self-determination, protection, social security and access to healthcare.

Queer hostility is real - worldwide. We demand safe prospects for queer refugees to stay, an end to deportations and discriminatory asylum procedures as well as access to safe accommodation.

We demand sustainable funding for queer community projects, from education to nightlife. Decisions on funding should be made by and with the communities.

We demand sustainable funding for queer community projects, from education to nightlife. Decisions on funding should be made by and with the communities.

We demand concrete measures against queer-hostile violence: prevention concepts, community-based security, further training for the police and judiciary - and official recording of queer-hostile offences.

We demand solidarity with all marginalised groups. No pinkwashing, no stage for parties or corporations that tolerate or pursue anti-queer policies. Our CSD is resistant, intersectional and uncomfortable.

We call for decisive action against the increasing trans hostility - in Germany and worldwide. This includes comprehensive anti-discrimination laws, safe access to gender-affirming healthcare, the right to asylum for persecuted transgender people and the right to a gender-neutral society. trans people, the consistent recording and punishment of anti-trans violence and active resistance to anti-trans laws - whether in Europe, the USA or elsewhere.
