LSD

LSD (lysergic acid diethylamide) is a psychoactive substancewhich belong to the Hallucinogens belongs.

  • LSD alters perception: colours, sounds and thoughts can appear more intense, distorted or unusual.
  • Typical are so-called "Trips"that last several hours. These can be experienced as positive (euphoria, creativity) or stressful (anxiety, confusion, panic).
  • The effect is difficult to predict and depends heavily on Dose, environment and mental state ("Set and Setting").

Possible risks:

  • Acute side effectsAnxiety, circulatory problems, hallucinations that are perceived as threatening.
  • Long-term effectsFlashbacks (sudden reliving of trip experiences), psychological stress or the triggering of latent mental illnesses.
  • LSD is not physically addictive, but psychologically it can create a strong desire for repeated use.
