The term transsexual is a older medical term. It used to be used to describe people whose Gender identity does not correspond to the sex assigned at birth.
- Many trans people today prefer the term trans or transgenderas the word -sexual falsely gives the impression that it is about the Sexuality and not about the Gender identity.
