Brief description
Rat & Tat - Zentrum für queeres Leben e.V. in Bremen has existed since 1982 and offers counselling, information and self-help services for LGBTIQ* people and their relatives as well as specific empowerment and anti-discrimination counselling for queer refugees, (post-)migrants and BIPoC.
Offers & services
- Psychosocial counselling:
On topics such as coming out, relationships, discrimination, violence, HIV/STI and other LGBTIQ*-relevant issues. - HIV/STI counselling & prevention:
Information, tests, PrEP, education ("World AIDS Day") and psychosocial support. - School & multiplier training:
Workshops and information events for school classes, youth groups and professionals. - Self-help groups & meeting places:
Various groups, cultural and political events in the centre and Café KWEER (e.g. TransTrans (short for transgender or transident) describes people whose gender identity does not match the gender they are assigned. Mehr*café, youth groups). - Empowerment & anti-discrimination counselling:
For queer refugees, (post-)migrants and BIPoC in the centre and at two locations.
